Hello Gators Families,
Thank you to all the parents, swimmers and staff who helped at Saturday's car wash and clothing drive, it was a great success and lots of fun.
Note the alternating locations for practice this week, this is due to the PWHS graduation and our tie-dye night. At the moment it looks like the weather will cooperate, but if there are any changes, due to weather or otherwise, we will let you know via email, Facebook and Calendar.
This week's events and dates to remember:
Monday and Wednesday 6/11 & 6/13 Practice at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School
6:00-7:00 pm 8 & under
6:30-8:30 pm 9 & up (6:30 -7:00 Dry Land, 7-8:30 Swim)
Tuesday, June 12th, Practice at Plymouth Swim Club
6:00-7:00 pm 8 & under
6:00-8:00 pm 9 & up (9s & 10s may finish at 7:30 or keep training until 8).
Thursday, June 14th Bring a Friend to Practice AND Tie-Dye Night
Thursday night's practice is designated as a Bring a Friend to Practice night. If you know someone who is curious about swim team, invite them along to Thursday's practice, (and tell them to bring a shirt to dye).
5:30 pm Tie-Dye Night will start at 5:30 and continue throughout the practice. Please bring one white cotton garment - we will provide the rest. If you aren't able to make practice on Thursday night and would like for us to Tie-Dye a shirt for you, please bring a white shirt in a gallon size ziplock bag with your child's name on it to any other practice this week. Siblings and friends who attend may also tie-dye one item each.
6:00-7:00 pm 8 & under practice
6:00-8:00 pm 9 & up practice/mini-meet. Swimmers of all experience levels will get a chance to practice diving and swimming short races.
Practice times are slightly different when we are outdoors and dependent on daylight. The PSC grounds are only open until 8:30 PM, swimmers and families are asked to gather their belongings, change clothes, etc. and vacate the premises promptly after evening practice ends. Also please remember to check your email for any cancellations if the weather looks questionable. Saturday, June 16 Relay Carnival at Rose Tree Woods
This is a morning meet in which the only events are relays. This is the only weekend meet other than the Championships in July. All swimmers are welcome to attend. Please declare your swimmer's availability for this meet through our swimtopia site. (We do not know yet if or how many volunteers our team will be asked to provide, we will list those jobs as soon as we have more information.) If you have questions about this meet, please contact Coach Dave.
